We build Hemlead, so it would be strange to pretend we're neutral here. But we'd rather write the honest version of this page than the usual one, because the honest version is actually useful to you — and if it isn't a fit, you'll find that out faster this way than after signing up.
What actually differs
Most CRMs can technically store a lead, show a pipeline, and let a rep log a call. That part is table stakes and hasn't been a real differentiator for years. The things that actually separate one CRM from another show up in the details most comparison pages don't bother mentioning.
Hemlead vs a typical CRM, side by side
"Typical" here means the pattern most general-purpose CRMs — Zoho and Salesforce included — tend to follow, based on how they're commonly set up and priced. Exact features vary by plan and change over time, so treat this as a fair general shape, not a line-by-line audit of any one competitor.
| Typical general-purpose CRM | Hemlead | |
|---|---|---|
| Meta CAPI sync | Usually needs custom development | Built in, no code |
| WhatsApp integration | Often a paid add-on | Included on every plan |
| Setup | Frequently needs a consultant | About 15 minutes, self-serve |
| Pricing as you grow | Per-seat from day one, climbs fast | Flat while small, per-seat past 20 users |
| Support | Often outsourced or tiered by plan | Same team that builds the product |
| Free migration | Varies by vendor | Included at onboarding |

Where Hemlead might not be the right choice
If most of your business doesn't come from Meta or Google ads
Hemlead is built specifically around that loop. If your leads mostly come from referrals, cold outreach, or a long enterprise sales cycle with no ad platform involved, the CAPI sync that makes Hemlead worth switching to simply won't matter much for you — a general-purpose CRM may serve you just as well.
If you need very deep, industry-specific customisation
Hemlead covers custom fields, custom pipeline stages, and integrations most teams actually use. If you need something highly specialised — deep inventory management tied to a sales pipeline, for instance — a purpose-built vertical tool might fit better than any general CRM, Hemlead included.
If you've already built years of custom logic into another CRM
Migration is free and setup is fast, but if you've spent years building custom automations and reports inside an existing platform, that's a real switching cost worth weighing honestly — not something we'd wave away just to make a sale.
